MRD Training & Consulting has been named a winner of the Elite Women 2022 Award:

INSURANCE BUSINESS CANADA (IBC) is shining the spotlight on ground-breaking women of influence and female leaders!

Nominations from or on behalf of women from diverse backgrounds who have proven capable of overcoming stubborn cultural and societal obstacles to achieve their goals. The IBC team selected the winners with the assistance of an independent advisory panel.

Characteristics that the Elite Women have:

 Awards backed by some of the top insurance organizations across Canada:

 The IBC Elite Women 2022 report is supported by the Toronto Insurance Women’s Association (TIWA), the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC), the Ebony Women International Insurance Network (EWIIN), the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS), and the Toronto Insurance Council (TIC).

I am so deeply honoured to not only be nominated but to be a finalist with some amazing companies. Wow.

It seems like yesterday that I was in my kitchen with my husband two days after I gave birth to our youngest Emmett when I told Andy I wanted to quit my job to follow my dream. I needed to help people be successful and train people with passion and purpose. 

At the time so many thought I was crazy. I had a great career with a company I loved working for. I had a two year old and just had another son two days before. But I took a HUGE leap of faith, quit my job and with my babies in tow I started building my dream. It was my family and clients and friends who supported me and encouraged me and cheered me on. Heck some even watched the boys so I could do sessions for their staff 🙂

Four years later this has turned into something I would have never imagined. Through a lot of challenges and lessons learned my little dream has become a series of successes that morph into new dreams and new ideas. 

Our company has grown exponentially and I am still that mom standing in the kitchen but this morning I am pouring a coffee and reminiscing. I am so grateful to every last one of you.
